Transporting goods to and from the EU
Over 98% of HGVs that reach Port of Dover/Eurotunnel are now border ready. As a direct result of this and as of Tuesday 20th April:
Hauliers no longer need a Kent Access Permit (KAP) to enter Kent if they are travelling in an HGV to the Port of Dover or Eurotunnel.
Hauliers are no longer able to use the Check an HGV tool to check whether they are border ready, but do still have access to the haulier information and advice sites, this website and the associated Live Chat team to help with border readiness checks.
