Who this privacy notice applies to
Hauliers who test positive for Covid-19 at one of the Department for Transport (DfT) Information and Advice sites who do not have appropriate accommodation that allows them to self-isolate in the UK.
Why we need to collect personal data
Due to current Covid-19 testing arrangements imposed by the French, Dutch, Danish and German Governments on hauliers crossing the Channel, drivers testing positive at one of DfT’s Information and Advice sites will be asked to contact Identity (a processor of DfT) via an online chat or text.
In this exchange we will gather information, including personal data, to allow us to secure you accommodation.
The processing of personal data is necessary for the exercise of a function of the UK Government.
Your accommodation provider will also process your personal data to allow them to facilitate your stay.
